Ananda Temple, built in the 11th century, is the holiest temple in Bagan, Myanmar.
The Ananda Temple, completed around 1105 AD, is the one I'd call the masterpiece of the site. The gilded spire rises 51 meters; inside, four standing Buddhas face the cardinal directions — each nearly 10 meters tall. The mortar joints are so fine they're invisible.
