Chichen Itza
Temple of Apollo, Pompeii, Italy — One of the oldest structures in Pompeii predates Roman occupation; its colonnaded portico surrounding a central shrine housed bronze statues of Apollo and Diana (now replaced by copies). The temple stood at the heart of Samnite Pompeii and was later incorporated into the Roman civic forum.
