Little Petra (Siq al-Barid), Beidha, Jordan, c. 1st century BC-1st century AD — This smaller canyon settlement 8 kilometers north of Petra served as a caravanserai and agricultural suburb, housing merchants and storing goods before they entered the capital. Painted dining rooms (triclinia) with vine and bird frescoes survive intact, offering a rare glimpse of Nabataean interior decoration.
