The moment you walk out of the Siq and see The Treasury is the whole reason to come to Jordan. Forty meters of carved sandstone facade, built as a royal tomb around the first century BC, intact after two thousand years. The bullet holes in the upper urn are from Bedouin sharpshooters who were convinced a pharaoh hid treasure inside.
