Badaling Section, Great Wall, Beijing, China
Badaling is the wall most people see — fully restored in the 1950s, sitting at 1,000 meters elevation north of Beijing, with crenellated parapets and evenly spaced watchtowers that exemplify Ming Dynasty engineering at its most photogenic. It's also the most crowded section by a significant margin. Worth seeing; just don't let it be the only section you see. © Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from Washington D.C, United States, Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons
