Hall of Mirrors (Galerie des Glaces), Versailles, France — The 73-meter gallery features 357 mirrors facing 357 windows, with a ceiling of allegorical paintings by Charles Le Brun celebrating Louis XIV's military victories. The Treaty of Versailles ending World War I was signed here on June 28, 1919, exactly five years after Archduke Franz Ferdinand's assassination.
