Suryavarman II Gallery, Angkor Wat, Cambodia — The southern gallery preserves what scholars believe is the only portrait of the temple's builder, shown seated on an elaborate throne receiving ministers and ambassadors. The king is distinguished from his subjects by his greater size and the parasols held above him.
