Chac Mool Sculpture, Chichen Itza, Mexico — This reclining figure with upturned head and a dish balanced on its stomach received sacrificial offerings at the summit of the Temple of the Warriors. Similar sculptures found at Toltec Tula reinforce the evidence of shared religious iconography between the two civilizations.
