Pyramid of Khafre, Giza — the second pyramid at Giza, built by Khufu's son around 2530 BC. Though slightly smaller, it appears taller because it sits on higher ground. It is the only Giza pyramid to retain a significant section of its original smooth white Tura limestone casing, giving a glimpse of how all three once gleamed in the Egyptian sun.
