Temple of Hephaestus, Athens — the best-preserved ancient Greek temple in the world, standing almost complete in the Ancient Agora since 415 BC. Unlike the Parthenon, it was never blown up or stripped for building material; it survived by being converted into a Christian church in the 7th century AD.
